Many Americans expected change with the new Democratic-controlled Congress but few believe change has occurred. Polls have suggested that the new congress has the same or lower approval ratings than President Bush. Since Ron Paul is running as a Republican, the LP should focus more on local elections or pick up Paul if he doesn't get the nomination

When one candidate, Ron Paul, moves and speaks against the grain of both liberal and neo-conservative politicians, we wonder about this person. Some have called him a crackpot extremist because he doesn't fit their image of a "progressive" president. Why I'm impressed by Ron Paul? In one word: Integrity.

The much-vaunted Senate "Compromise" on immigration is a compromise alright: a compromise of our laws, a compromise of our sovereignty, and a compromise of the Second Amendment. The "blowback" theory isn't some fringe idea common only to crazy Sept. 11 conspiracy theorists. It doesn't suggest that we "deserved" the Sept. 11 attacks, nor does it suggest we shouldn't have retaliated against the people who waged them.

Beck was no longer engaged in mere dismissal and misrepresentation. He launched into a shrill diatribe against Paul, a tirade worthy of the most hate-filled leftists. Calling Paul a "dope," he declared, "If Republicans start thinking like this, WE'RE DEAD."
